1. Not advice
Nothing on this site — including signals, strategies, backtests, walk-forward results, ratings, news summaries, social sentiment, or AI-generated commentary — constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary, or fund manager.
2. Past performance is not future performance
All backtest, walk-forward, and historical performance figures describe what a strategy would have returned over a chosen window. They are not predictions of future returns. Markets, regimes, and strategy edges all change.
3. Data may be stale, missing, or wrong
We ingest market data from third-party sources (Yahoo, Alpaca, Oslo Børs, news scrapers, social platforms). These sources can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. We display freshness indicators where we can, but you should always verify a price or fact before acting on it.
4. Signals are statistical, not certain
Our calculators produce signals based on historical patterns and statistical models. A "BUY" signal is one data point — not a guarantee. We surface decay metrics, walk-forward validation, and confidence intervals to help you weight them. Use them as inputs to your judgment, not as orders.
5. Walk-forward and overfit warnings
Strategies in the platform are run through walk-forward validation to flag overfitting (in-sample vs out-of-sample divergence). When we display trustLevel=likely_overfit or poor_performance, take it seriously — those strategies have failed our own internal vetting.
6. You are responsible for your decisions
Every trade you place, every position you size, every order you execute is your decision. We do not place trades on your behalf. We do not have access to your brokerage account. We do not know your risk tolerance, time horizon, tax situation, or liquidity needs — only you do.
7. Risk of loss
Trading and investing involve risk, including the risk of substantial loss. Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose. Diversify. Use position sizing appropriate to your situation. Consider professional advice from a qualified financial adviser, lawyer, or accountant who knows your circumstances.
8. AI-generated content
Parts of the platform (Genie chat, strategy summaries, news enrichment) use large language models. LLMs can hallucinate. We mark AI-generated content where we can. Verify anything that matters.
9. Forward-looking statements
Forecasts, analyst targets, earnings estimates, and similar forward-looking content reflect third-party opinions, not facts. They are frequently revised and often wrong. Treat them as colour, not as truth.
