Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms govern your use of TraderGenie ("the Service"). By creating an account or subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
TraderGenie is a financial decision-support tool. It surfaces signals, strategies, news, and market data to help you make your own decisions. It is not investment advice and we are not your financial advisor or fiduciary.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
4. Account responsibilities
- Keep your password confidential.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, redistribute, or resell our data or signals without written permission.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or impersonate others.
- Post unlawful content, spam, or malware.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or paywalls.
- Reverse-engineer our strategies, models, or proprietary calculations.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its strategies, models, code, and content, is owned by TraderGenie or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. Beta status, pricing & changes
TraderGenie is currently in beta and free to use. We may introduce paid plans in the future. Beta users will receive notice before any pricing changes and a discount as a thank-you for being early.
8. Data accuracy
We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep market data, signals, and content accurate, but we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Data can be stale, missing, or wrong. Always verify before acting.
9. No investment advice
Nothing on the Service constitutes investment advice, a solicitation, or a recommendation. Past performance, backtest results, and walk-forward validation are statistical descriptions of historical data — not predictions of future results. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraderGenie is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, or trading losses. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TraderGenie and its affiliates from claims arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms or for legal compliance reasons.
13. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Oslo, Norway, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
14. Changes
If we materially change these Terms, we publish a new version at /legal/terms/v2 (or later) and notify signed-in users at least 30 days before the new version takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
